No, no, thank YOU...

I am delighted to be in the acknowledgments for Tawna Fenske's upcoming novel, Frisky Business.  Even more than I might be otherwise, because of the reason WHY I'm being thanked...

Page 345, according to Google Books.

Because when you find antique sex toys, it's good to have friends who WANT to get that photo.

On a related note, it's also good to have writer-friends who know better than to ask if you've done all the dirty things you write about in your books.  (Does anyone ask Stephen King if he's really murdered a ton of people? NO.)

And it's GREAT to have a husband who spots a pair of stone dildos at a vintage market, and immediately says, "I'll take the kids so you can photograph those and text all your perverted girlfriends."

I'm a lucky, lucky woman.

They were $40 each.  Shoulda bought one.

Blowing My Own Horn

Blowing, tooting.  Whatever.  INSERT INNUENDO HERE.

At any rate, I'm delighted to have found unsolicited positive reader reviews of my short story, Chattel, which was recently included in Rachel Kramer Bussel's erotic anthology of female submission, Serving Him!  I think this is tremendously cool, and I wanted to share:
"Serving Him" is one of the best Bussel-edited anthologies I've read. [...] Standout stories [include] "Chattel" - Errica Liekos: Above-average tale about a woman (Sasha) whose frustration with her socially distant husband becomes a source of further connection with him. Smart read.  Review by Steve Isaak (Amazon.com & GoodReads)
And...
This is a wonderfully kinky collection of short stories. I've enjoyed almost every one especially Chattel and The Letter. After reading a recent popular erotica trilogy that was annoying, repetitious, and arduous to finish, I found these short stories to be refreshing, rich in character and super hot. Being a newbie in erotic literature, there is a variety of levels of BDSM that I was very comfortable with and it was a great way to get a taste of different authors' work.  Review by Tired Mom of Twins (Amazon.com)
And...
I will be commenting on "Coffee Break" and "Chattel" later, but I can say both very good, and "Chattel" now one of my favorites.  Review/status update by Angel (GoodReads)
Errica Liekos' "Chattel" caught my eye because of its twist. It is a story that reminds us not to get complacent nor underestimate our partners. Sasha will discover that she indeed does have the perfect man,  a man worthy of her because of his confidence and high expectations.  Review by Itinerant Librarian aka Angel (blog post)
And...
Great book for those that get their thrills from some BDSM. [...] Some of my favorites were "The Letter," "Chattel," "Tackling Jessica," and "Silver Fish in the Crystal Pool."  Review by Aboehler (LibraryThing)
And in the interests of full disclosure, I did find a review I didn't agree with...
For BDSM-inclined readers, there's at least one great story in this collection of twenty-two nib-lets for everyone [...] Chattel: A psychological first for an unsuspecting wife -- lack of consensuality in this story is unnerving. (2 stars)  Review by Psybre (LibraryThing)
(Lack of consent?  Really?  Are we reading the same story?  FASCINATING...)

I encourage you to pick up the collection and see for yourself... now available from Audible!

And you can read author bios, story excerpts, and find links to every possible purchasing venue here: About "Serving Him."
