Recommended short story:
Vylar Kaftan's Kill Me, via Transcriptase -- the scifi tale of a professional masochist. Not porn/erotica. Does exactly what science fiction should do, in my opinion: take an idea and push it to its most extreme possibilities. Very interesting.
